Important Notice!

There are several editions of Penny Paint

Also, you probably have it already, so there may be no need to download it.  Only use this if you can't find it or you have an older version.

WHATEVER YOU DOWNLOAD, NO MATTER FROM WHERE AND REGARDLESS OF HOW MUCH YOU TRUST THE SOURCE, ALWAYS SCAN IT FOR MALWARE WITH UP-TO-DATE ANTIVIRUS & ANTISPYWARE SOFTWARE.

If you use the following versions of Project Dogwaffle:
  • Project Dogwaffle 1.2 (freeware version),
  • Project Dogwaffle versions 2.x, or
  • Pro versions: PD Pro 3.x, 4.x or higher:
.....then get this latest version:
>>  download Penny_pm.exe
size: 163 KB (166,912 bytes)  built September 27, 2008, 12:04:19 PM

Note: if you use the freeware version 1.2, you may not yet have a required support file, the dynamic link library file Penny.dll. You can download it here:  Penny.dll (40KB). Save it into the same folder where Dogwaffle is installed (no need to download it if you have v2, PD Pro 3 or 4, as you should already have Penny.dll in that case).

If you use PD Particles ...
>> go here to find the version of Penny made for PD Particles

If you use PD Artist...
>> go here for the version made for PD Artist 1

Differences between the several editions:

The different editions of Penny 1.1 are almost identical. However:

  • When running Penny 1.1 on PD Pro v3, v4 or higher, it now supports 1024 levels of undo.
  • PD Particles only supports the version made specially for PD Particles.
  • The edition of Penny 1.1 for PD Artist or PD Particles support 256 levels of undo.
  • The version for PD 1.x through 2.x supports 64 levels of undo. This includes the freeware version 1.2 of Project Dogwaffle

Other than that there's no difference between the different editions.
