This page is dedicated to painting with Symmetrical mode enabled. Not mirror mode,  a different page will be focused on pure Mirror mode. And there's also a mode focused on Kaleidoscope mode.

For a first impression, watch this video:

To do this yourself, here's where you enable Symmetrical mode for painting in PD Howler 1:

enable
  • Select the brush tool (top-left icon in the floating toolbar, or top icon if you're in single-column layout)
  • Find the new icon in the assistant toolbar that pops open a menu for Symmetry, Kaleidoscope, Mirror and more.
  • Select the desired Symmetry mode: Horizontal, Vertical or you can check them both.
  • Optionally set the reference point (or axis) for your symmetrical painting with the SetCenter option
  • Start painting, on either side of the symmetry axes, and have fun.
