I
live in Kamloops, BC Canada. I'm almost 60 and retired. I heard of
Project Dogwaffle through the Corel Painter forum, and I now use PD Pro
4. I also use a variety of popular better known tools, and I like to
try a mix of painting, image editing and animation tools: I use Corel
Painter, Photoshop (who doesn't?), After Effects, AnimationMaster,
SoftImage. They're all great tools in their own ways, and it's good to
find something that makes each of these really special and enjoyable. I use a 2.8 MHz PC with Windows 2000 Pro. One thing I really love about Dogwaffle is the very fast and different ways of using brushes. I do a lot of foliage work, like trees and shrubbery. The Particle system (Optipustics) of PD Pro is awesome for this. I'd love to see better support for PSD files, some sort of 3D camera and a lighting filter, though I'm learning some ways around and other approaches for similar effects or results. |

Ponderosa
Pines against a Mountain in the Hazy Back![]() These trees Ponderosa Pines.
They are quite large. But up here in BC, 80 to 90 percent of them have
been killed by the pine beatle. It is a major disaster. Where I live in
Kamloops it is semi arid and this tree is the most abundant tree by far
we have. Most of them look like this image. In town most people have to
get them cut down in their yards. They
last about 2
to 3 years after
they are dead, then start breaking up causeing huge fire, flood and
falling causing damage potential. They will take a long long time to
come back.Each tree supplies enough
oxigen for 4 people. > click
