How to Print the HTML pages of PDHelp ... ================================ (a self-help guide for those who like to learn Dogwaffle while reading from 'dead tree') The PD Help files are constantly evolving (for now), so making a printed version for sale would be futile because it's not finished quite yet in our minds. And maybe it never will be (finished, that is). However, we realize that many artists like to read what's already available, printed on paper instead of scrolling on your screen. So here goes.... There are a number files in the PDHelp folder which are in html format. Printing these files may be somewhat tricky as they are presented through inline frames and not all browsers handle that situation elegantly when it comes to printing. However, if you view each chapter's html page in its own browser window rather than a frame, the it's easy to get a clean print from most browsers. Also, some browsers have right-click menu options specifically for situations involving frames. But what if you don't? You might want to try this: select a desired section of the help file by clicking as usual on the appropriate link along the left-side navigation bar. The selected page will appear. Now repeat the same but by using Control-Click. Some browsers like Firefox and Mozilla will open the link in a new Tab. Or, right-click the link and select "Open Link in New Window". Thereafter it's an easy thing to print that page.

How to convert to PDF ... =========================== We have successfully experimented with converting most (not all) of PDHelp's html pages to PDF, using the free OpenOffice suite from http://www.openoffice.org. At some point in the future we may offer PDF versions for downloading from the website. If you must have a PDF version now you might want to purchase a copy of Project Dogwaffle professional from Fastrak in the UK (they deliver worldwide) or from us - contact Philip to inquire about availability and pricing.
