::: What is PD Particles? PD Particles is a software program for sketching, doodling, painting and drawing with particles. It is loaded with features made for professionals, yet priced low enough for artists, students and hobbyists at all levels. If you like to draw, this is for you! PD Particles also contains a
number of
fascinating natural fx brushes
and can be used as a complete, self-contained painting program.
However, it is primarily intended as a companion to your existing
favorite photo editing, imaging and painting tools and it is focused on
the use of a
particular category of brushes: the Particle Brushes.
::: Key Features
::: Running PD Particles under Windows Vista? You bet, yes it works! After all, PD Particles, like all Project Dogwaffle programs, is based on Visual Basic (VB). And Microsoft's statement regarding VB under Vista is: "it just works!". So even though it may not have been designed for Vista initially, it turns out that in our recent testing, PD Particles installed just fine under Windows Vista Home Premium with service pack SP1. Of course, there are many possible configurations, and your mileage may vary: you may need to install as Administrator, or with UAC disabled, or grab a copy of the VB runtimes from download.microsoft.com. For more details about using PD Particles and other PD versions under Windows Vista, read this FAQ on Vista. |
