After
loading the
image, you'll see it in the main view (the
Compositing Pane).
Note also
that the
Styles tab in the upper right is selected
automatically for you to
start applying styles.
You can also right-click the inserted image
and view its properties.
To apply
a Style, simply navigate in the Styles tab,
from the left-most column
to
the right. The left-most column contains main
categories:
Drawing
Painting
Graphic Arts
etc...
Whenever you
select a
main category from that left-most column, you'll
see it open its
subcategories in the next column to the right.
For example for Drawing:
Chalk
Charcoal
Ink
Marker
etc...
and if you
click any of
these subcategories, then you'll see even more
choices, namely the
preset styles in the chosen subcategory.
Example:
Drawing >
Chalk > Dark Chalk with Pencil
You can simply
double-click the desired style icon if you want,
but there's more
subtle
choices available when you use drag and drop. Still, try this
first with
double-clicking. Here's an example of a possible
outcome for "Dark
Chalk with Pencil":
