Let's now apply the circular gradient across the entire image:

In no time you'll have something like this:

Adjust the contrast, brightness, etc... or use 'dynamic range' for a quick fix.

Time to add a Nova at the center of the circles.

Choose first how many stars you want for it:

Another option to choose is the size of the central bloom on the Nova.

If you want to see mostly the stars without a big blob in the middle, use the small bloom option.

The color of the nova is primary and secondary color based, depending on which button you use when applying it. Make sure they're not black because it would not add any nova. (A nova is an additive color thing. If you add black nothing changes)

Finally, apply the Nova, in much the way that you apply the circular gradient: Click and drag from the center of the circles towards the edge.

Once you have applied one such Nova, it might be too faint. You can use Shift-A to have it redrawn again using the exact same path & position, based on replaying the most recent brush stroke.

You can also switch color and use Shift-A again and again.

And you can of course draw another Nova, same center, different direction so that more stars appear.

Can you see these steps all in the animation below?
