Run the
downloaded update installer. We recommend running
this as Administrator. Make sure no earlier
session of PD Pro 5 is running, including any of
its plugins.
Before it can
install the files to the final destination (that's
the folder where your existing 5.0 or 5.1
installation is installed), it will extract the
files contained in this update into a temporary
folder. That temporary folder is typically going
to be on your desktop, so you can easily find and
delete it after successful installation. You don't
need to keep it after succesfull update.
Click Extract:
The update
installer will then ask where you want it
installed, i.e. the final destination, where 5.0
or 5.1 should already exist. The update installer
will propose a default location for the install
folder:
C:\Program
Files\Project Dogwaffle Professional
Notre that this
may be different from where your current
installation is located.
For example, if
you're on Windows 7 64-bit, you should probably
have installed PD Pro 5 in the (x86) version of
Program Files:
C:\Program
Files (x86)\Project
Dogwaffle
Professional
Set the Install
folder to the proper destination.
Then click 'Begin install'
After the
installation is completed, you may delete the
folder that was temporarily created during the
extraction at the beginning of installation. This
folder is no longer needed.
You may want to
keep the update installer though, just in case you
want to re-install it later, such as on a new
computer.
